This book follows the story of Madeline Whittier. She was born with a “baby bubble disease” Which means that she’s allergic to everything that surrounds her. Whether it’s the air, the smell\taste of the food, or even the touch of someone else. And sometimes the triggers of her illness are unknown. It could be anything. She has lived her entire life monitored by her mom and a couple of nurses, just to keep her safe. And to avoid all the consequences that jeopardize her life, she hasn’t left the house in seventeen years.
The concept of this book is unique and inspirational in some way. Despite what she’s going through, she has a positive outlook on life, because throughout the story, she’s so eager to get out of her ordinary repetitive routine and explore the world by herself without being observed 24\7 hours every single day.
The only thing I didn’t like about the book is the ending. It was so predictable. I was hoping for a satisfying ending that wraps the whole book in a way that pleases us as readers. But anyways, I couldn’t put the book down because I just wanted to know what will happen to Madeline at the end. Totally worth buying. You should read it.
